Yep, I would say you are correct based on the photos I saw. I didn't see anything where deer would eat them. They articles I read said they could be used for jelly though. They're really small though. About the size of a blueberry.
Id keep a check on it for deer sign once they start dropping. If they eat them I would make sure to give them a little fertilizer each year.

Yeah, I plan on it. They're growing right next to the dirt road that leads to the back so it'll be easy access for them if they take to it. I would imagine there's more out there. Just the first time I've seen it.
Good for jelly , my deer here don't touch them. Sour tasting.
