for the record, I chose to make FL my home. coulda moved anywhere in the country I wanted. and I have no distaste for Fl or the south in general, or I wouldn't be here. and I would never intentionaly insult anybody's home. I certainly have my faults but have enough class not to do that. and I am well aware of the pm's/texts/e-mails and talk about me BEHIND MY BACK on other sites made by a coward that needs others to have his back and help him because he can't stand on his own 2 feet like a man (a pathetic spineless worm if you ask me). I can't control who you listen to and believe, and wouldn't want to. I don't need or want anybody elses help, I can handle my own affairs thank you. I just wanted to nip this NACHO HATES THE SOUTH BS in the bud.

I'm a northerner who loves the south! I admit, it took some getting used to. And IMHO, you can beat up on NYC all you want (sorry, Nacho- but you know how it is! :rolleyes ) But leave Boston alone! :rockon
I love southern cookin'- including grits and exceptin' pork rinds :wacko AND do I miss real 'North End (of Boston)-style pizza and submarine sandwiches!
I love that I don't have to shovel sunshine.
I'll take my chances with hurricanes.
I can't stand:
a- drivers who don't signal
b- drivers who leave signals on for miles, only to turn the opposite way!
c- drivers who pull out of side streets get into the left lane and slow down to 1/2 the limit!
I don't miss:
a- getting cut off in bumper to bumper traffic
b- bumper to bumper traffic all day long
I miss hunting close to home.
I don't miss Massachusetts gun laws, politics, sales tax, state income tax!
I love southern hospitality! It's not just a myth!

I love New York.

Some of the best restaurants in the country, best theaters, best night life,
Chinatown, little Italy, Da Bronx , and Manhattan then you have the park
As for the people, they are as goods as any place in the country.
as for the big trucks and 4x4's and camo, lets just say I live dead center city Philadelphia and some of the best deer hunting and Striped Bass Fishing in the country is a 15 min drive from my row home were my big 7.3 4x4 and camo hat is parked.
I would think there are as many hunters and fishermen in the 5 barrows of NY City then the 5 biggest county's in Florida . as for leasing property to hunt... it free right out side our doors. all but alligators that is.lol

New York City lets just say it has character,,
as in anything in life it is what it is, and you get what you make of your time there .
me i love it find my self there all the time

As for Florida ,, Lets just say its paradise, southern people have a way of making you feel at home and comfortable. and most will go out of there way to do so. maybe the hunting isn't the best do to access of land but I am shore the fishing makes up for it.

like I said , it is what it is,

Let us all remember one thing that we can learn from this post - we ALL live together in the greatest country in the world. We have the God given freedom to move about and live where we wish. I've been to Boston (nice place Greybeard!), Philly (I have family there), Rhode Island, Jersey Shore!!, but sadly not New York - not that I do not want to, just haven't made it there yet. People may not have a taste for the lifestyle or environment for one city to the next, but it is this great mixture of lives and cultures that has made us who and what we are. I have no problem with folks touting their home state in this country. Just don't go marching down my street waiving a foreign flag and bitching about your "rights".
