Some of the best deer, and quantities of deer I ever saw was back when I just learned to hunt. Hunted Greenswamp, and had to wade water as deep as my armpits to the spot. Water can be a blessing for those who get get to the high ground surrounded by water. Ofcourse if you can't drive anywhere near the area. It's a bust. I waded a swamp, and marsh this weekend, and for some reason it just wasn't as fun as when I was 21.
Nah...that brings back too many memories of hunting the Everglades.

That's the problem I have now. The county rd we go down to get to our lease is flooded out. And the idiot teenagers go thru there at night and booger it up even worse
We are bound to have some dry weather in the next 3 weeks. Hopefully!
We are always at the mercy of the weather. Particularly a guy like me that mainly hunts quota hunts. For you guys doing the lease thing with all the work involved at least we have a long season. So I am sure you guys will get some good days in the woods. Allen, my 1st hunt is up that way this year Sept. 21st. I wont be scouting so all I can do is pray I have access.
cityslicker got it right,those little dry places can hold alot of deer ,was out this last weekend scouting and its really wet out there!
