Got a new video camera a JVC Everio GZ HDD300 and do not like the editing program that came with it. Does anyone have any advice or comments on editing programs?

Are you using a Mac or a PC? I've never used Mac video software, so can't speak to it, but as for PCs, I've used few. PCs running XP or Vista have Movie Maker installed (Windows ME, too, if you are still stuck with that garbage OS), and it's not bad for basic editing, clip splicing, basic titles, etc. Then on the other end, if you want to do production level stuff, Adobe Premiere is the shizzle, but there's a big learning curve if you aren't familiar with it.

For feature-rich yet simple to use software, you'll find stuff like Corel VideoStudio Express, which is pretty powerful, yet not too complicated to use. Corel makes some very user-friendly software. They have a free, fully-functional 30-day trial, too. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1175263344580#tabview=tab0

Pinnacle Studio is also a good program, or at least it was a few years ago. I haven't used it for a while, but looking at their website it appears they are keeping it powerful yet easy to use. http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Family/

Another company that makes good software is Serif, and their MoviePlus X3 is full of features. http://www.serif.com/movieplus/
