the plugs in the fords in the mid 2000's are notorious for breaking off. they have a special tool for those plugs, or at least our shop mechanic has one. not sure if he made it or bought it. i am surprised they didn't change the coil packs when they did the spark plugs.

He was trying to save me money as they aint cheap. At the time of the plug change they all tested ok. After that they started going. All 8 are brand new now so its all good. I can't knock this truck as I haven't had a truck payment in a year now. Everything I have done to it so far is terminal stuff that will need to be replaced in time anyways
Been the best truck I ever owned

after i replaced some of mine, i found out that you can get them from amazon for ALOT LESS.
good point, i am happy that all the $$ in parts came after we paid it off. i just hate to dish out so much damn money, seems like it never ends sometimes.

O'Reilly has coil packs for something like $50 a piece with a lifetime replacement. I've changed all 8 plus 3.

well, if there is a bright side at least it happened before season and didn't strand you in the woods with rotting game. hopefully it'l be smooth sailing from here.
