I have a cousin up in Wildwood who has a tire business (or works for one, not sure). I'm pretty sure they carry Coopers. I can see if he'll give me a price.

I've had great luck with TreadWright tires. They're a newer style of re-cap tires. Lots of people shy away from the re-caps but these are built a bit differently than the old style. Might be worth checking them out. I've got 45,000+ miles on these and they're not half worn out yet. I like them a good bit better than the BFG ATs I had before. Longer lifetime and they're better anyway. I think I paid $450.00 for 4 35" tires. The price is certainly worth it. Their website is http://www.treadwright.com . Even if their website shows your size as out of stock or whatever, give them a call and they'll let you know how long the wait is. I think I had to wait 2 weeks last time which was no big deal for me.

I know the re-treads are really popular with truck drivers. We had a friend who was a long distance driver and that's all he ran on his truck. And that was 30 years ago before todays technology. Just still scares me having tires that have new treads slapped back on them. I am sure they are just as safe as new tires...just scares me. Thanks for the info though

Don't forget to check your local Wal Mart for prices too. When I was getting new ones for my SUV I called about four places and had they give me qoutes on Out-The-Door prices, and there was quite a difference at different places what they charged after the tire price. I ended up getting Trackers at my WM because they were the best tire & price. So far no issues and they handle/ride great.
