it's a Charlie Brown trip to H&R BLOCK FOR THE "free" EZ form. we need to find out how much we still owe IRS from the previous 2 audits, 07 and 08, wifey is on the cell phone for about 30 minutes making selections when we finaly get to the point "your call will be answered in app 15 minutes" so sweet as can be I say, put the phone down on the desk so you don't end up hitting the wrong key and disconnecting the call. knowing sure as the sun is gonna come up tommorow thats exactly what shes gonna do, when she starts yelling at me, in front of the H&R lady, don't tell me what to do/it's my phone and I know what I'm,click,oops. how did I know? plus we need a long form done for 350$, thanks H&R block, shoulda stayed home and taken down the Christmas tree and lights.
I was thinking the same thing of getting my taxes done there, I should have known nothing in life is free, we have the ads here and I not even going to bother making the trip after hearing this. I knew it was a no brainer they will find a way to charge you.
well if you go to AMSCOTT here.. they do a 140EZ for FREE.. that means.. NO DEPENDENTS.. no claims.. just as (EASY) EZ as possible.
Mine would not be the EZ model, will get my CA to do them again this year. The EZ model is probably just a program you can buy and they can lure people in to paying extra for something like a simple dependent deduction.
