Well here we go again, I'm taking a newby hunting tomorrow to try and kill something. To be honest I haven't had the feeder running like I should have this year but It got filled last week and is waiting for a hunt this weekend and hopefully maybe something will come in to the feeder, or the plot. I will be sure to take some pictures of the first time kill bloody face. lil do they know. this guy is someone that went to Iraq with me. He has never killed any thing that he ate. I have give them several packs of venison and pork that I've killed and now he is wanting to kill his own. maybe this week we will kill something to take home.

Wow!!! What a day... He saw a doe come in about 20 minutes before dark. He was texting me that she had came in and I was in the process of slipping up on a group of hogs that was feeding on some hickery nuts. If you have never heard this it is crazy... to hear hogs cracking hickery nuts and crunching on them. I had slipped in within 5 yards of them and finally saw one but couldn't tell weather it was heads or tails. and didn't want to shot one in the azz at at 15' so I pulled out and went to my buddy that had already shot and waiting on me too come to him. he hadn't got out of the stand at this point and was stilled pumped up from the shot. I got him out and started to ask him which way the deer went at and where he thought that he had shot it at. Long story short I saw her about 50 yards away from where he had shot her still alive. We pulled out for about 45 minutes to give her time to exprire. We went back in and found her DRT... he had shot her a little far back and the exit wound was out the hind leg it was a little far back on the shoulder but caught the main vein on the hind leg. That was a mess and there was no way that I was gonna try and bloody him up with that smell.
