Those 50s are bad-ass! I like the sighting system on the AC-130 gunships. They can put a 40mm or 105mm howitzer round into a 2nd story window from 10,000 feet while circling at over 200 knots. I just love superior firepower!
Spooky's a bad a$$ fortress of firepower for sure. I know I'd NEVER wanna be on the receiving end of one of them. Participated in a night exercise back in my USAF days and watched one out the window 15K feet below us, and it looked like the sky was on fire.

I worked avionics on them for several years while in USAF Special Ops, and saw lots of the strike films from Desert Storm/Shield. Also watched some stuff from when we went down and captured Noriega in Panama. Also went out to a live fire demo at night on one of Eglin AFB's ranges. We were a mile from the targets (old tanks and deuce 1/2s) and I did NOT want to be any closer! Those guys can put down a lot of hurt!
Saw 1/2 of the show one night, but couldn't stay awake. Watched the whole thing a few days later. Interesting to hear that they converted over to .300 Win Mag.
