Ive been in this situation before and it stinks. Just to clear things up a bit. It sounds like you have everything seperated from the pitman arm, drag links, steering rods, or any other rod. And the plan is to remove the pitman arm from the steering box? The steering box is the defective part? and trying to save the pitman arm and replace steering box? is it possible to get a different steering box and pitman arm together? Last pitman arm i picked up was 20$ Can the steering box and pitman arm be removed as a unit and taken to a shop and have the arm pressed off? and new one pressed on? Just trying to help.
No not trying to save pitman arm. I cant get it off the centerlink. You cant seperate the pitman arm from steering box untill out of vehical.
