We were hunting a WMA this weekend and a buddy of mine found a button buck that had been freshly shot and just left to rot. I just cant understand why someone would do that. It couldnt even have been an accident because it was an archery hunt and its bucks only. He was scared to call FWC fearing they may try to blame him ,and by the time I found out about it it was 5 hours later and the meat would have been spoiled anyways. Poaching for the meat is bad enough but Its just a shame these guys get away with crap like this. :hang

Need more details on the situation to form an opinion as to why the head was just cut off and the rest left.
