treefarmer: (to get back to your original point)- you are right on target! I don't get many magazines at all anymore for that very reason! Our kids deserve their childhood- it will be taken away soon enough as it is! Teachers will do that with their sex-ed and PC crap, not not mention their friends 'on the street'.
As for mags going under, maybe if they catered more to the consumers than their advertising departments they'd have more customers and have less need for 'marketing specialists'? Just my $.02!
