Here is how the last 12 hours went:

Last night i go to bed and my cell and my wifes cell start ringing off the hook. It was the alarm company for our rental house saying there was a fire alarm at the house. Well we tried to call the tennant and of course no answer.
So had to get dressed and drive over there to see what was going on. Apparently one of the rugrats was pushing buttons on the key pad for the hell of it and called the FD, which showed up. They were giggling and laughing it off till we told them they would be getting a bill from the FD for a false alarm. They didn't find it too funny then

Get home, back to bed, doze off to sleep only to wake up a few minutes later to sirens and flashing lights. Turns out the elderly lady next door fell and hurt herself, and had to push her life alert button. Of course cop cars, ambulance, and fire truck with lights blazin looked like 4th of july on this dead end street

Back to bed, back asleep...thunderstorm wakes me up at 2AM. Man it was a bad one too.

Back to sleep, alarm goes off at 5Am to go hunting. Hit snooze bar till 5:50.
Dressed, coffee, dump, out the door...Jump in the truck, drive to the end of my street, make a right and I drove right into a downed power line.

Thank God it turned out to be a cable TV line, not a power line. A tree had snapped at the corner house and pulled the line down. How other vehicles did not hit it is beyond me. So I pulled it out of the way and finally off to the tree stand.
Got in the stand and all the corn that i dumped out three days ago had not been touched(not a good sign)
The squirrels had chewed a softball size hole in Crocks feeder, and the corn was soured. So I dumped that out and put the motor on a new bucket three days ago.
I noticed that the corn was extremely low in the bucket, which was odd. when the feeder went off it spun for 25 seconds and threw about 15 pounds of corn out 😯

Then at 7:15 a car blew a tire on the interstate. For the next 15 minutes i sat in the stand andlistened to people hooping and hollering and cussing trying to change a tire.
I figured it was then time to go.
Moved and reset two hog traps by myself, and was home by 8:15.

Now I'm either ready for a beer or a power nap (or both)

Went out on a call this morning in the rain. It was soooo bad I could not see the front of the van.

Just returned from bass fishing. Straight killed them, caught 20 or so in the drizzle. Throwing worms into the brush.
