Have you ever been to shooters world in Tampa on Fletcher Ave. I went and shot my rifle there yesterday.
It was a nice indoor range. They even have sleds you can use at no cost. All you need to bring is ear protection, weapon and ammo. Or you can buy ammo and targets there and use there ear protection.
They have an indoor 100 yds range where a camera will show your target at your station, but less than 100 yds you have to rely on other optics to see where you shot. The targets are on automatic movers so you do not go past the firing line.
The pistol range is protected in the back where people can watch with 2 lays bullet proof glass and you cannot hear the shooting.
They also have a fast acting range.
The prices I found compare to what is costs for shooting at chass and a range in brooksville.
They also have a nice selection of weapons. Check them out, they have a virtual tour on the website.
I live 5 minutes from there. It's a nice place, but over priced on a lot of stuff. Lots of their accessories and ammo you can find online much cheaper. Their ranges are second to none, though. I find the fees a bit steep. For instance, Dade city gun range is $20 for all day. SW rifle range is $18 for 1 hour. I have also found that on very popular gun models, they have a hard time keeping them in stock. Last year I wanted a Shield bad. I went by there 4 different times to buy one as they are close and convenient. They never had them in stock. Them and Gander advertised them in their flyers, but neither store ever had one for purchase. I called Shoot Straight (I know I know) and they had over 200 of them in stock
Ya'll are very fortunate to have more than one place to choose from in a short driving distance. Be grateful - about my only option is the public range in Ocala Nat Forest. Go early, watch your back, get out.
That place is nice, but I like to shoot at Dade City. I can shoot my rifle and shoot my pistol all for the same price. As long as I want too. (unless there's a long line of people waiting.) I never usually have a problem if I go around 1-2:00 since they close at 4 each day.
