I am sadend by the loss of 2 of Tampa's finest... My prayers go out to the familities.... My question is doesn't it seem odd that so man y Tampa police get killed, the 2 dectives that were shot by the guy they handcuffed in frount and put him i the back seat. and i hope ther is more info on what happened ... 2 officers putting 1 person under arrest and him wip around and shoot both of them, i have never seen 2 officers so close while someone is be frisked and put into handcuffs, usually feet spread and hands either on the head or streched out on the car.... maybe some training is nessary that we loose less Tampa police .. Then did you hear folks asking maybe there should be more and heaver gun cntrol... wel to them i say Laws only work for those who follow the law NOT the law BREAKERS
This by no means belittles the officers, I respect them and the very hard and unrewarding job they have to do.... :angel
I honestly think it has more to do with political correctness than lack of training. The guy had a misdemeanor warrant and I am sure they were worried what it would look like in the press if they took him down for a misdemeanor. They not only have to worry about staying alive for their shift but also not doing something that would be seen as racial or insensitive that could get the department sued. I know for sure I could not do their job because I would be fired within a month for having to deal with these scumbags that they have to deal with.
Bullet to the head by the 1st cop to find him is the only true justice this :sheet head deserves.

the guy is only 24 and had been arrested 43 times. one of those was attempted murder, one was possesion of a sawed off shotgun, SEVERAL cocaine poss w/ intent to sell. should have never been on the streets.
At the risk of sounding too insensitive I'll keep my thought private BUT.....it wouldn't be pretty :death
