The case came out of Chicago. The Justices did leave open the poss that certain kinds of guns could be restricted, but did not specify a single type. They upheld that the right to defend yourself is an inalienable right, and the 2nd Amendment is a right, not something that the local governments can override.
They stated that no state can overrule these rights, but they may require additional measures such as insurance, etc. We'll have to see where it goes, but it rekindles my hope that we have at least some people in authority that have a brain and want to uphold the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution and the American way of life.

passed 5 to 4. so 4 of the justices dont give a damn about your rights, or the constitution. all we can hope is that no more retire or die and obama cant appoint any more.
5 to 4 is still a win in my book.
