I am gonna go with a very large/healthy coyote
Heres 2 pics of a bonafide red wolf I took at Homosassa state park. They don't look anything alike, Imho.

Whatever it is, it don't need to show up in the deer woods! Coyote, wolf or feral dog, they all look the same through that ol' 3X9 Redfield. Treefarmer
