I just fot a 150 dollar ticket in the mail!!!! Wtf?

That aint shart,I just got a 1,800.00 penalty from the IRS for filing late, I sent them 10,000.00 a few months ago and it's still not enough for them clock suckers.

One thing I have learned tangling with the IRS, it is better to file on time even if you do not have the money to make the payment you owe them than to wait and file after you have the funds to pay them off.

X20! In 07 and 08 when our business was booming we owed a ton of taxes! We filed on-time, both times as we always do, and set up a payment program with our return so it ddn't require anything on the part of the IRS. They sent us a letter in the mail agreeing to our arrangement and didn't charge us any late fees, penalties, interest or assessment fees all because we filed on time and had a plan. They let us pay off 2007 owed federal taxes in 12 payments for $1100.00 a month if I recall correctly and 2008 ir was like 12 payments of $1300-1400 a month.

They will work with you if you follow the rules and HAVE a PLAN, if not get ready to pay....

Sorry to get off on a tangent on this thread....

Good point Gary. What if its a fleet vehicle? Say a Terminix truck. Absolutely no way to prove who is/was driving it at the time

Actually a company vehicle can get away with the red light and toll tickets. There is no driver's liscense attached to a fleet vehicle, and the way the laws are wrote, the driver's liscense is what get suspended. The state can not touch the registration or plates as a punishment for not paying a traffic fine.

found this out when i got my new work truck and forgot to change the tag number on my sunpass. I had gotten 28 toll violations before I realized i forgot to change the tag number. All the fines were uncollectable and the state had no drivers liscense to go after.......
