I'm a lowly Scout... I bet I wouldn't be if the web filter didn't mark this site at work though LOL!
I did a brief stint in the scouts until the particular areas Scout Master's negative outlook on hunting turned me away. Amazing how theyve phased out things like the trapping merit badge. Its good to see kids in the outdoors but id rather see them as little hillbilly apprentices than being brainwashed that animals are our friends and huntings bad.
When I was in scouts, they taught us that animals are our friends- because they taste good and are in our food chain!!! First time I had moose meat was in a stew our scoutmaster made for all of us! "Nice scoutmaster!"
(But at least they haven't gone as far as the GSA!!!)
There were no girls, so I did not go very far, do boy scouts hunt fish shoot and kill things? Scout was the first one shot in the Calvary as he was on point...UH OH
guess the scouts ae taking anyone these days there moron, don't worry you'll move up quick and be exalted grand poo bah some day. toss up whether there are more pediphiles in scouts or the catholic church. 2 weeks before our wedding we got a call from the church saying our priest ( Father hand, no BS ) would not be able to perform the ceremony, but wouldn't say why. a few weeks later we saw all the details on the local news. turns out he was molesting young boys. sorry don't mean to disrespect the scouts, as i feel they are trying and achieving good results, but any group that has a high # of young boys is gonna attract these pervs.
