Yes it does. I quit listening to new rock when Nirvana hit the scene back in the '90s. Still can't beat the old classics though

there is a couple good sounding bands today that still rock the guitar solos and its a nice throwback like avenged sevenfold, they are pretty decent sounding, other than that, all the emo crap and wannabe growling that goes on in some of the stuff is lame.
