I bought an almost new poulan yesterday. Thing is heavy and runs good only paid 20.00 for it. Are they bottom of the line or a decent saw. CAn't beat the 20.00 deal still curious.
For $20 you can't go wrong. :rockon
poulan from what i know is lower end, but for 20 bucks, if it saves you from renting one once, its paid for itself. id buy one for that.
the only poulans i have messed with, are the wild things, they are way cheaper than the rest. some have been decent, some were not worth the money at all.
Poulan makes the Craftsman yard equipment products. Probably more mid-level than low-end, although I believe in recent years their quality has dropped. Some of the older chainsaws were real workhorses. Not quite up to the level of a good Stihl, but well worth $20 bucks if it has a sharp chain and cranks! And if it's heavy for its size, it's probably one of the older, better built ones.
