3 a.m.

went to bed about midnight after we got done watching a movie. was in bed for probably 30 or 45 minutes and heard a few car doors shut, and not much else. at 3 in the morning my wife wakes me up and says someone is beatin on the door, so i fall outta bed and head for the door .40 in tow. my wife says there is some big dude out there thinks its a deputy. i look out the window and he identifies himself as a deputy, so i open the door to speak with him. he apologizes for disturbing us and asks me if i know whos car is parked in my driveway. i started to say that it was probably my dumbass neighbors friends or something, they have a habit of blocking my driveway. he stops me and informs me that it is indeed not my neighbors car and that the occupants of the car were involved in a shooting and tried 'hiding' the car in my driveway. he assures me they have the 3 or 4 men in custody. not sure why he didn't know if there were 3 or 4, and if it was 3 or 4, did they have 3 or did they have 4 or 3 of the 4. anyhow, they came and towed the car and i am really thankful that it turned out the way it did as opposed to me hearing the car doors shut and opening my front door and telling who i assumed was my dumbass neighbor to get his car off my driveway and possibly becoming just another part of their shooting spree. i did not sleep well the rest of the morning and had a long day at work.
