If you remember I had the same thing several months back. It had spread so much I finally went to the doctor. Basically they are going to classify it as "contact dermatitis", which is a general term for a rash that the source is not completely known. The Dr actually thought mine was a fungal infection as to the way it had spread. Just FYI, poison ivy is not spread from scratching an open sore. Its only spread by direct contact with the plant

They put me on a weeks dose of prednisone and a antibiotic (no laughing please) used for women who have a yeast infection.
Cleared up in a few days.

just called. made an appoint with the doc for today at 1. cant take it any more. nothing stops the itching.
