Well pops and I have planned another fishing trip. My dad is now 81 years old now and each fishing trip is a blessing. I asked dad last week if he thought that he would be able to go mullet fishing this week. Of course he said "well I think I can manage going". I asked him to try and get the rods ready yesterday if he could. He never made it outside yesterday so no rods got ready. Dad's mind is really starting to slip a lot, he can't stay focused on anything very long but I wanted him to try so it would give him something to work on. Today I went over to his house to get everything ready to go. It was a challenge because he kept wanting to show me how to do something that we had just done. I finally told him dad, it is already done but if you want to show me go ahead. Shortly after that he got focused on something else and forgot about it. Hopefully tomorrow he'll catch some and we'll have a good time with no broke bones like two years ago when we went on a fishing trip and I fell off the dock into the boat and broke my arm.

Bossman,
Enjoy your time with him! I remember your posts from some of your fishing trips with your dad. My dad died when he was 66, I was 33, now I'm 69, been a long time with out my Daddy. Still have great fishing memories.

Have a good trip today.
My dad is a little further along than yours and his fishing days are over. He turns 88 this month and can't concentrate from one minute to the next so enjoy this trip. My last trip was the pompano trip and he wandered off on me then.
Well pops and I had a enjoyable trip except the fish wasn't having anything to do with us. We fished hard for 5-6 hours and only caught 1 mullet. Although he was ready to go again this morning. I suggested that since I was going to be off for veterans day that we try it again then. That way I would have time to get some needed tackle and some chum.
