We get em for like $30 a bushel up in Vernon. Best deal in town. Washed and fresh. Not muddy, and VERY cold. They even supply the ice.

used to pick them right up off the beach in our front yard at low tide as a kid on long island. blue points, arguably some of the best in the world. chessapeak bay in N.C. aint bad either, learned about oyster sliders there, drop the raw oyster with coctail sauce into a mug of beer and down the hatch. easiest way just put em on the bbq until they open, but prefer raw. have even eaten them with baby crabs in them still crawling around yum.

I developed a serious allergy to them years back. Had to give them up if I wanted to continue my life. It sucks because I likes me some oysters.
