I have seen 2 different trailers jump off a hitch from not being hooked properly(none of mine but one was my dad who a friend hooked up). I now have a mental checklist i go thru every time I hook a trailer up. I will let people guide me backing up but then they have learned to get out of my way. If i get interrupted I start the process over
