Well it looks as if we are about to be hit with the oil, our local weather person says that the winds are against us.
S.W winds are bringing the oil closer and if things stay this way, we will have oil on our beach within the next day.
Reports coming in saying it is about a mile off the beach and that oil is coming on shore 35 miles away. This gives me a numb feeling. What can I do and what will our local government do. A friend of ours was at a meeting yesterday with some of the local government and the DEP and the question was asked about skimmer boats.
DEP says that skimmer boats can only skim about 90% of the oil and they would not bring them in unless they could do 100%. Lets see 100% oil on our beach not 10% . What the hell is going on with our government . Folks I hope they can get this thing stopped before it comes your way. :help

federal government.....BP.....share the blame equally, both for the disaster, both for the response the way I see it.

Man, I feel for ya. It's only a matter of time before they start showing up on the east coast.
