I swear I panic when we get these storms after a long dry period. Ive got a creek right behind my house, and an oak on the other side decided to turn loose with all this rain. Missed the corner of my house by less than 1ft. Literally

it will still be there after turkey season. or maybe john will come get it for his fire. I had 3 in my front yard 1 totaly over my roof and they are protected, but can cut 1/3 each year. so after 3 years all that was left was the trunk and it vanished one nite and stump was ground, never knew it was there. too bad I don't have a fireplace.
