looking into buying a new truck, it will be my first NEW truck i have ever bought. has anyone bought a new 4x4 chevy or gmc 1500 lately? or 4x4 f150 lately new? now how much around would i be looking at with a trade in Dodge dakota 2001 with 120000 miles crew cab, piaa off road lights, carbon hood with true scoops, bull bar, tool box, K&N air filter, running boards, whip antenna, cobra CB and PA system, Kenwood head unit with ipod attachment, two 10in subs in custum dakota box under rear seats and towing package? my buddy just bought a 2wd 1500 originally priced at 30000 but with his trade in and $2000 down payment they rebated it down to a total of 17000$. i will be making a down payment of around 9 or 10,000. so what would be the total for the truck id be looking at?

You are better off taking off all of those accessories and use them on your future truck or sell them outright. From what I've learned they (dealers) do not give you any extra for anything like lights, speakers, bars, etc. They'll just give you close to what they determine the market value/blue book to be. Good luck!

well anyone wanna buy a 01 dakota? hahaha. guess ill just private sell my truck and have a better down payment. but even without the trade in my buddy had a couple thousand in other random rebates. i try asking dealers online but they just want my email and for me to come in which i dont realy got time with college full time and work. they wont just give me an estimated price. i was also looking used but man any newer model truck of those is already around 17000 like my friend payed! so id dang rather get a new truck for the same price or just a little more

If your financing, the best tbhing to do is just shop around. Dealers offer different sales at different times, as well as the manufacturer. For example, recently Ford was offering either 0% interest, or a $1500 rebate. It all depends on what they are offering at the time. But the last guy was right about your truck, they could care less about any extras on your car, best thing is go to nadaguides.com, figure the value for your truck, from that value take another 15% off and that's about what they will give you. Just go shop around and take your truck with you to each place and have it appraised at each dealer, and never buy from the first place you go.

Good luck

Use this link to find out what the MSRP, Invoice and available rebates are for the truck you want. It lets you build the truck with the features/options you want.
