A member of my family has served in every war and armed conflict this country has ever been involved in from WW1 all the way through Iraq and Afghanistan. Here's a pic of my grandfather on my dad's side, God Bless America

Lost some good friends.
my Grandad served in WW1, WW2, Korea. I have his first dog tag a simple oval flat tin that has Graf, Richard A 707 07 13 A USN. on one side and his thumb print on the other. Dad served in WW2 in Africa, Italy, India, then over the hump to China. I was too young for Vietnam (barely) and too old for the sandbox, plus I'm not good at taking/following orders, I'd gladly do almost any favor someone ASKS but I'm pretty sure thats not the way it works in the service. but I do respect all who served and hope I helped vets when Ill in vamc hospitals, reg hospitals or in their own home. I've met some very interesting ex military men and women over the years and was trained by ex military nurses (some very tough old broads with a ton of experience) and have seen first hand 2 Korea era females take down the baddest Vietnam vet by themselves and tie him up with a bed sheet in seconds, like in a rodeo.lol my oldest was an OSS officer from the Spanish/American war.
92 years old! that was a ripe old age for those times.
