Anybody hear anything about this?
I found this in the news, no other details though, i will keep looking....
"Outdoorsy military veterans and their families will benefit from several perks. Florida will set aside special hunting areas in state forests just for veterans. Vets also will be able to fork out an extra buck to get a "V" on their driver licenses designating them as a veteran"

Ok, just found this:
http://laws.flrules.org/files/Ch_2011-116.pdf
that bill references this statute:
http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/pmw/documents/portal/205-171s1-0-14.pdf .
it looks like most any retiree will qualify, since this statue covers all the conflicts and campaigns from the spanish american war in 1898!
i did not see any details as to what hunting areas/state parks would be included though.
Ok, after numerous phone calls, this will apply to state forests only, but most folks seem to be out of the office for the weekend......
Looks like wounded / disabled vets only...
Sucks for me but good for them!
