well I traded my sports sedan today, VW CC, and bought a new explorer. had one before but this is front wheel drive. we will see how it performs. hated to give up 28mpg around town and 32 hwy but need more space in the car. took me 6 hours to get the deal done. I am worn out from haggeling and just waiting around. I hate buying cars from dealers, a real pain in the arz...and wallet. :clap

We really like ours. I went with the XLT w/4 cyl EcoBoost for the wife. She never tows anything and for the soccer mom vehicle it's been great. We've been getting 26-28 MPG (I did hit 30 mpg one trip but I was poking along around 60mph on back roads from here to Plant City) and it only costs around $50 to fill up. Close to 10,000 miles between oil changes and LOTS OF ROOM!!

I like the look and features of the new Ford Explorer but Ford's electronic dashboard problem is holding me back.
I've heard current year ones are better but they still have problems.
I may just go look at the Chevy Tahoe instead.

the front wheel drive was a concern for me. My CC had it and that was the 1st front wheel drive for me. it handled great-had sport suspension. haven't put any miles on this explorer yet to judge. will let u know.
