Mom made it thru surgery A-0-k. They ended up removing her entire colon. She will probably hate me and my sister for this, but it was medically necessary. She will be on a bag the rest of her life....unless she wants to have reattachive surgery later. She is in tremendous pain as to be expected, but they are giving her happy happy juice thru her pic line. She was in and out of it still when I left a while ago.
Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers lately. i am sure yall are tired of reading about it, but thank you anyway. I have really learned who my true friends are lately and have become closer to God. Not sure who is responsible for helping mom get thru this but the least I can do is thank everyone I can. I even had a guy who worked for me 10 years ago (who is now a preacher)come by today and say a prayer over mom
Iluv2hunt, that's what it's all about! Those of us who believe in the power of prayer, know the Lord is in control and His will, will be done. Some times we need His grace to get through the tough times that come our way when things don't turn out like we had hoped. Continuing to pray that God will bless your mom with a speedy recovery. That's great news glad to hear she made it through ok. She is deffientaly a tuff woman. She will still need the power of prayer to make it through the recovery so more prayers going her way. Try to get some rest so you can be her rock through this. :911
So glad to know she's on the road to recovery. Nobody will ever convince me that prayer and love have no effect on how well a person responds to such things. God hears our prayers, and He takes care of us, even though we may not think we deserve it or understand how our little lives matter to the Creator of all things. Sure, sometimes we don't get the answer to the prayer we wanted, but I guarantee He answers it. Sometimes He says "No" or "Not right now", no matter how much we want a "Yes". As a dad, I understand because there have been times I had to tell my kids "No" when they wanted something, because I knew it wasn't what they really needed. I believe someday we'll be able to understand why He answered things a certain way, and how it all works together to bring about His perfect plan.
You sharing with us your mom's needs and allowing us to pray for her means a lot. It isn't a burden or an inconvenience, it's an honor to be trusted with such an important thing.
