A regular riding mower won't mow what you want cut C. It is rough on the engine and belts. Unless you took it very very slow and took 1/4 passes on it. Then it's gonna take you forever. I almost blew my rider up this summer trying to mow overgrown bahia in a food plot. Once you get it mowed once then a rider will handle it
Exactly what luv2hunt is saying. Bahai grass is tough and thick. A riding mower just can't cut it when the grass is over knee high. Mix in some Johnson grass and it's all over. The heat from the engine cooks the oil and blamo a new lawn ornament. The guy that I hired is using some type of home made redneck engineered contraption, he is supposed to be finished today. Then I can start on the pool and the other 100 projects to make this house livable.
