The wife making Man-goo and steak for dinner oh yea.

For those that don't know mangoo is boiled plantains mashed mixed with garlic. Then red onions and olive oil draped over the top. There the best mashed potatoes ever.

Sounds close to mofongo before the onions...

A little different creamer. The plantains are boiled instead of fried but they still stay firm and have to be mashed with a good potato masher. Its a Dominican dish

Can't believe this has been up here for this long and no "Man Goo" jokes.... You guys are slippin... And by the way, I'm Puerto Rican. My aunt makes a dish similar to sheppards pie only she uses mashed platanos over the ground beef. Man that's some good stuff!!!
