Just tellin it like it is.....I have four of em.......have killed deer out of all of them.....but what does that have to do with it.... :rockon would like to have a couple more.....maybe this year..
I like hellbilly's idea. If you look at most a them prefab plastic tower blinds, they don't look much diff than a 45" plastic drain pipe. If I could get my grubby paws on a couple 6' lengths, I'd build me a couple of em. Just need to use a piece of drip edge screwed around the top, and add a couple of corrugated fiberglass roof panels for a top with a couple screws. on the ground or a platform, quick, cheap, and easy. Use a pocket knife and some duct tape, and you got a door and windows with hinges.
guilty as charged porta jon hunter too :rockon i have mine on skids made out of 4x4's with eye bolts screwed to the front,just hook and go,pull it all over the woods.also took my portable spray foam rig and sprayed interior with closed cell foam.as said earlier everything is removed which leaves a bunch of small holes,the foam makes it air tight.i cut 3 windows in it and inserted plexi glass that will slide.very light weight for there size,i have a 8 ft platform built down in a bottom and 2 guys can pick it up out of the back of the truck and set it all the platform with lil effort.my son killed his first deer out of one and it had only been in the woods for 2 days.PORTA JON BLINDS ROCK!!!and there :toast cheap as hell!!
