SOld a gun yesterday, so I could fund this. Had enough $$ to get the black edition.
Any tips, suggestions, apps, accessories that are a must have? Soon as it gets charged I guess I will go video my chickens. Hope to get some boating/scalloping video next week
I've had a few gopros. Idk if they changed but you need a decent computer to run and edit full hd clips. My old windows laptop couldn't run it, but my macs could easily. Idk if it is still mp4, but that was another issue on my old windows. It wouldn't run mp4 without all these codecs and stuff. I had to buy an editing program, but I believe any newer computer will be fine.

just think of things you want to get on footage and there will be a mount for it. bow mount, gun mount, anything. I took mine spear fishing a few times. It was awesome footage. They made a speargun mount that works very well. I mainly used mine for racing dirt bikes. Its been through many crashes and never broke. Wish i would have never sold it. Make sure you get high speed SD cards too.
Probably mostly for videoing hunts. Since it has wifi remote, I will probably set it up in the bushes when I feeder hunt. Definitely will need some rail mounts to set it up on the rail of my stands, or on the boat. I have a Kodak Playsport that does a real good job, plus it has a zoom, so I will probably use a conjunction of both
If you have a smart phone be sure and get the app from go pro. It is so much easier to set the camera up and live streaming is good. and you can make sure it is actually recording. I use one all the time and love it.
