Hey guys, sorry i haven't been on much the last few weeks. been getting things set up for the Jimi Jam..
If anyone lives on the east coast, come check it out..

Jimi is a friend of mine. He is a quadriplegic. His wheel chair broke so we pulled some strings and got him a brand new 2010 hover round. NOW.. The big fixer upper.. His wheel chair lift is falling through his van and the mother board has a short in it.. Have to wiggle it from inside and outside to make it work, its an 83!! the moter on the seat doesn't raise so he cant raise up to drive the van. and the ac broke also.. This has left him home bound for 19 months.

over dinner one night, i sent a text to 10 people. got this wild hair up my you know what ..
and we now have the Jimi Jam..

3 bands
Free Food
Auction
Raffle
and 5$ car wash from the collage kids..

if you live on the east coast come help us raise the money to get Jimi new wheels..

I talked to Carlos awhile back and if theirs enough people wanting to do a bow shoot on the west coast he will set it up.. All proceeds go to Jimi's new wheels. He has been really busy lately and hasn't put it up here but he told me to go ahead and open my big mouth haha

Jimi Jam will be at 1 for the Road
in Lake Worth
July 31 from 12 till close..
for those of you on this side

now then.. here is a lil something Jimi wrote up for me for the event.. If you have a face book, your welcome to join the even page. http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=118461744854403

For all my friends who may have been wondering how I came to be in a wheelchair, but were too afraid or too polite to ask…….

On May 23rd, 1983 My brother Alan, my friend Curtis and I all had the day off from work and decided to go John Prince Park in Lake Worth and toss a football around for a while. Curtis had just gotten a new camera so we all chipped in for a couple of rolls of film. Yeah, we were pretty broke, back then and most of our money went for cigarettes and gas. When we got to the park, the first thing I did was jump up and grab hold of a tree branch and start swinging through the tree like monkey. I'd been climbing trees since I was four years old and was damn good at it. After all, I have a six and a half foot arm span and could almost put a chimpanzee to shame. THAT, my friends, is where it all went wrong. I was too confident and I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing. After posing for a few, silly pictures, I decided to climb out onto a big branch and hang upside down, by my knees for another picture. I reached back to grab a branch to steady myself and when I did, I didn't check to make sure that it would support my weight and it snapped off clean from the tree. I went over backwards and hit the ground…HARD. I landed on my head and everything went blurry for a few seconds. Luckily, THE GROUND BROKE MY FALL…Unfortunately, it also broke my neck. After lying there for a few minutes, I realized that I wasn't going to be jumping right back up to my feet anytime soon so I told my brother to take my car and go find help. Fortunately, JFK memorial hospital was right down the street and Alan had an ambulance there within minutes. I was rushed in to the ER, where they did all kinds of mean, dastardly, painful things to me, while trying to save my life. I spent a total of four weeks in I.C.U. on a ventilator, a week and a half in a regular room, while waiting to be transferred, and six and a half months at Jackson memorial in Miami for surgery and rehab. On May 23rd of this year, it will be twenty five years and Boyyyyyyyyyy let me tell ya….It's been ONE HELL OF A RIDE !!!!!!!!!

OK...You're probably all just about sick of hearing me ramble on about all the WONDERFULNESS OF BEING JIMI LONG....HeHeHe..!!! So on that note, I'll just end by saying..." I LOVE YOU, ALL" !! Now, check out these SUPER COOL pictures and smile. They are rare pictures of a strange APE-LIKE creature that scientists believe to have an insatiable appetite for Rock-n-Roll...!!!!!!

Peace,
Jimi

Rack did you guys already pay for the chair? shoulda posted something. Tom Cruise the owner and inventor of the hoveround chair was an old school buddy of mine and also an RN, until he said " if they rounded off the foot board on these things we'd be able to get thru the doors much easier" a good idea, a few patents and alot of hard work and he's rollin in dough.I haven't spoke with or written him since high schooll 1975, but he will def remember me and if he's married I definately have some blackmail material plus hes a good guy as well as a chick magnet and I'd be sure he'd be glad to help anyway he could. pm me and I'll do what I can.
