Went to a good friend of mines dad's funeral yesterday. I think he was 72,cancer got him. He was one of those work-a-holic types when we were younger and would never let his sons miss any work to hunt, and harder to even get Saturdays off.About 12 or 13 yrs ago he finally rode up and dog hunted with us for a weekend and he got hooked. I mean he went from never hunting to buying every bit of the latest, greatest hunting equipment,4-wheelers,top dollar for hunting leases. Bear hunts to Canada, trophy deer hunting in S Carolina for the last 7 yrs or so.Even some hog doggin' with us guys. But in those last years of his life he did things with his sons and grandson that he would never imagined earlier in his life. During the last ten yrs or so I've lost my best friend and another good one that I hunted with,my dad,and a few of my hunting bud's dads that I have hunted with many times. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's never to late to start enjoying our great sport or sharing it with good friends and family.

Sorry to hear it Jeff. I lost my dad almost 5 years ago, and hunting hasn't been the same for me since

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of a good hunting buddy. :angel That's a good example of how we all should enjoy some of the finer thing's in life. ( Family and Friends )

Well said.......My parents died when I was young and they never saw there grandchildren. I spend as much time with as I can with my sons and pass on the outdoors to them so they can do the same.
