how the same guy who will never show up for a work trip at the hunt club...is always the first guy to email or call when its almost archery season....and has unlimited time off from September thru December 31....then its back to....oh...he's got a doctors appointment, or his wife wont let him go, or the the kid's got a baseball game, or he's having a brain tumor removed that day...or blah, blah, f****ng blah.
Don't these guys realize that the stand he's sittin in requires painting, or limbing, or de-wasping, cutting in the shooting lane, or whatever, and that the food plot he just killed a buck off of didnt plant itself. Friggn amazing, the stones on some people.... and I think I can add that a guy who can and will hunt will usually bag a nice buck here. Amazing. They never get it when after about two years of this....someone else is going hunting instead of them.
Here's the deal... at my club, which is private property, in a top producing QDM county in Georgia (lots of big healthy deer and turkey)...THERE ARE NO DUES -- I provide all the food plot seed, fertilizer, lime , corn, feeders, cameras, mineral, tractor, diesel fuel, camper complete with hot and cold water, electric, heat, AC, deer cleaning station, etc. etc. etc. and it's like pullin teeth to get some guys to contribute with a little effort once in a while. It just blows my simple mind. The only thing I ever ask is to help out a little with limbing roads, or mowing, or firewood, working on stands, simple shit which I basically enjoy...working in the woods aint like working at the job. Hell, I usually also provide the food, beer, etc. unless they want something special I tell em to make sure they bring it if they want it....
Ok....enough ranting....but I just let a guy know about a work trip coming up and got blown off.....AGAIN....oh yeah....he did tell me where he would like me to move one of his ladder stands to while I'm there.....BALLS!!! OH yeah....also love the one about the bad back.....everybody got one of those....later.
I know it.....I just like being in the woods....dont matter doing what....I do the same thing with some of my buddies places up there....just go help out....

Damn Dave grow some balls! :taz Tell them to get lost!!!!!! If they aren't willing to put any time or money into the place and then have the balls to ask you too move stands around they obviously don't respect you or anyone else who does put the time in. Sounds like you need to find better friends/hunting partners. Sorry if this came across wrong, but I hate when people take advantage of the good nature of other people.
