Idiots

Went out for a bike ride this afternoon and before I even got in the gate I saw doe and her fawn running in a path that took them right in front of my truck. So I stooped and waited. The doe jumps out in front of me and waits for the fawn. When it catches up she continues to cross the road. Well right then here comes some idiot in a car who sees the fawn and wants to get a picture. Ok no problem, but wait he jumps out of the car and and approaches the fawn. The doe backs up and starts to call her baby with no luck. The idiot had his arms out like he is going to hug the baby. He get about 3 feet from it and it runs toward my truck and takes a header on the pavement. Gets back up and is lost the mom takes off running across the field and into the wood line about 600 yards away. So now I'm pissed! I tell the guy to leave the deer alone but hi insists on scaring it into the barbwire fence. Then drives off with him and his sight seeing passengers smiling like they did a good deed. The fawn layed down by the fence and hopefully the mom came back to find it. I left before drawing more attention to it. I told the game warden also to keep an eye on it. People are idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I didn't see any hogs today just deer and a lot of fawns. They also dug up the culvert pipe in the back country were the last video was taken. Their was two huge 10+ foot gators that hung out in there. I couldn't see them and wondered what happened to them. Well on my way back out I see three trappers looking in the water hole. I got to talking to them and they filled me in that the track hoe operator broke part of the alligators top jaw off because it wouldn't get out of the pipe. So they were there to finish the job. I watched them snag a eight footer (a new one I hadn't seen in there) and they couldn't find either of the large ones. Including the wounded one. 👿
