Eggs are still good well past the date as long as the have been in the fridg.. What the eggs do is get runny. EXP. Take a egg fresh out of the nest, crack it in a fry-pan and it will stay in a small area. Now take a older egg and crack it in, it will run across the pan. If a egg ever went bad in your fridg. You would smell it as soon as you opened the door.
I'd use them. I would use them in something that called for high temps and thorough cooking, like a cake or brownies, batter up some fish for frying, or hard-boiled and in a salad. Either that or keep them until they did start smelling bad and then toss them at the neighbor you don't like or maybe at an ex's house!
Eat the eggs they will be good for very long time those expiration dates and best if used by are NOT true dates for most goods going bad!
What you need to watch is for fresh produce meats fish chicken flesh proccessed pakcaged foods ie: frozen (thawed) or vaccum(opened) sealed goods.
The trouble with eggs is if you put them in the fridge then take them out and out them back again after they have gotten warm.Government regulations say they have to put very short "best by" or "expiration" dates on consumer goods for safety reasons. These regulations are set to try to ensure quality and freshness to the consumer.
Years ago they used a 3 didget code on egg cartons. 001 to 365 as per the day of the year, but then the gov. stepted in and said that they had to start to put dates on the cartons.
when in doubt, throw them out. that goes for any food.
