I don't always care if you walk around. It has paid off by shooting multiple deer=hogs that people pushed. I one time sat in a parking area above my truck. One hunter running late looked at me like I was an idiot. Before he was out of sight I shot a hog (sunrise). Coming out of the wood the hunters went in, the hog was cutting the corner of the parking area. I noticed there was tracks the first 2 day over the tire tracks into the parking area. The best part was that hunter turned around and threw his hand up like what the f.

Orange flags are as much of an eyesore as litter IMO & should not be left up very long at all, If that means taking down someone else's that looks like it's been there a while so be it. OR you could move it so it leads to some nice briars/poison Ivy/mud hole, But I suppose that would be wrong. :devil
Public land is just that, PUBLIC! First come first serve, NO HOLDSIES/ NO RESERVATIONS! How often do people mark off an area then never show up, & you are supposed to stay out of "THEIR" area the whole season, B.S. Get a lease or buy your own land if that's how you feel. WMA/public land, expect to get what you pay for.
