While I was working the thoroughbred sales, I learned that they fight horses in Korea and China and was told in S.C. too. So I looked it up on you tube and I would not attend or believe in what they do, except they are a few I would eat. I read some of the comments from the animal/tree huggers and they over dramatize some things but what they do in the ring, they also do in the wild. I was told about this by a man that worked for the govt. mustang management out west and he said it was nothing to see stallion with no ears and bad scars or wounds. He thought it was cougars but the stallion ratio was 4 or 5 stallions to one mare in the wild and they would fight over her. What do you do with all the horses since the slaughter houses closed?
That's a great question. You know how many people can't afford to feed their horses right now. And if the horse gets thin the cops and new crews come and make you a criminal. Junk horses should be slaughtered and processed, many uses for a horse. People are spending millions on mustang rescues and most of them ain't worth feeding to coyotes.
I was told the average cost to round up a mustang is 8,ooo dollars, to be adopted out and their is a rancher out west that the federal govt. pays him I think it was 5 dollars per day per horse and he runs about 5 to 600 head of horses, last count. Needless to say he quit raising cattle and makes a mint on mustangs that we foot the bill.
Now times that by thousands of other gov't programs and then you'll know why this country is getting so screwed up.

I would rather pay for a horse that was here before I was then some fat, lazy women with fifteen kids from 10 different guys soaking up the welfare.
