Dave,do you tan your deer hides or use a dry cure?

Dont think my first reply went through....I use whatever the customer would like, costs vary, but quickest, most economical, is a commerical non toxic dry preserv. that a lot of taxidermists use today and provides a nice, long lasting mount.... There are also several wet tans that will work just fine too.

my first buck was a 6 point like that one , took it to the taxidermist who just got back from sascatchuan and was working on his 12 pointer with beams thicker than my wrists, I felt about 2 inches tall , but he didn't bust my B's too bad, and did a nice job of it. it'd have to have a super nice rack before I do another, actualy I think I'd rather have a nice boar with big cutters.
