This seems about as good a forum as any to ask about GPS recommendations.
I'm looking for a good- not too expensive, GPS I can use on the road, but also when hunting.
So, what do y'all use/ recommend?

For the vehicle...The Garmin Nuvi 250 is a wonderful machine. I love mine, and it has never been unable to find a place

For a handheld GPS, I have the Garmin Etrex Vista. Whatever you get, make sure you spend the extra money and get one with the electronic compass. Its worth every penny extra

Look at the Garmin 76CSX. I have had real good luck with mine.

So there doesn't seem to be any one unit that does the road AND the woods, eh?
Also, local availability seems to be sadly lacking!!! I checked WallyWorld, Sears, Staples, etc. nothing (decent) in store!
