Night 2 of definning who is dominate in the house! I have spent 2 days doing the stare down with my new dog Rocky and he now starting to understand I am the boss.He keeps pushing and I stand my ground and he will listen to sit and stay on command.I feed him after I eat and do not allow him to feed until I say come.I hope this all goes as planned,lol!
Good luck with him. I am getting ready to put my dog down. We got him as a puppy almost 13 years ago, and he is failing fast. It is tough to make the decision to do it, but it is tough to watch him suffer as well

If you can, roll him on his back and act like you are biting his throat while holding him down. That's a ssign of dominance and "pack rank". It's alot easier to do when they are puppies, I know. Once they get a certain age they develop a sense of their own importance, and it can be difficult to overcome that.
