without trying to sound insensitive, this guy was no dummy, insane hell yeah but not stupid. thankfully he told the police about his booby traps. his skill level at making them and/or ied's I don't know. but if he was not able to get guns he could have, and likely would have used ied's and molotov cocktails in that theater and I think death rates could have been much higher.

You know, if one person would have been carrying, alot of lives coulda been saved.
100% true but had a hero missed or shot thru the maniac, and killed or injured an innocent he would be facing years of criminal and/or civil trials. maybe a well trained sniper could have pulled something like that off. if 5-10 very brave souls had rushed and swarmed the guy, they likely would have stopped him, a few to severall likely would have been hit and possibly killed.

I would like to think to would have rushed the guy and attempted to take him down but don't know for sure if I could. What would any of you do? I heard a story where a guy dropped his girlfriends baby on the ground and ran.
