? for the Web Admin's out there

The president on my hunt club is searching for ways to create a website for our club. I have the ability to create simple sites and have a hosting option already in place. However, he wants to have the ability to take payments, have a member log in area and have a section where they can have ongoing chats, very similar to a forum.

I have seen alot of templates that can be purchased but I want to make sure this is the correct way to go. We are not dealing with a ton of members and for the most part I mainly see this a way to share info/pics more than anything else.

Any advice would be appreciated.
