Well it's official. I now realize that I really ain't as young as I once was. Once a year there is a huge party down here called Fernstock. About a dozen really good cover bands that play the S. Fl. clubs play 1 hour sets that start at noon. Well after too many drinks Friday night, 3 other couples and ourselves decided we wanted to go the next day. BYOB so of course I load up a BIG cooler with too much liquor and a 12 pack of Bud just because. We all meet at a great seafood restaurant down south and have a good dinner and a few :rolleyes drinks.

We decide to head to the party about 7pm so I should have known I would be drinking way too long for my own good. We get there and have to park about a 1/4 mile down the road in a rural area out west. They've got it set up in the back of about a 20 acre grove. After struggling to carry this heavy azz cooler and some chairs all the way with my buddies we get to the entrance. About this time I realize that my cooler may be a little large to be trying to get through this crowd of a couple thousand drunk and stoned kids but we hit it anyways. We make our way to the back of the crowd like old folks do and find a spot big enough for all of us to set up camp. As I put the cooler down I realized that my back wasn't gonna be the same for a while. :pinch

We got settled in and I made a stiff Rum and coke to ease the pain. The next band started to play and that's when I started feeling young again. After a few more drinks I'm feeling no pain and rocking out like I was 17 again. Listened to some great bands play a ton of the rock I grew up with. Finished off a couple bottles of rum and decided we'd slide out early about 1am. Like I was a born again young'n, I decide we need some more booze and we're gonna hit a bar on the way home...............................

And then the old man wakes up with an aching back and head. :pinch :crip

Last Chance. Been there a few hundred times over the years. When I was riding all the time I'd start out there first. You're right though, it's a little rough around the edges but there's some good guys that hang out there. I don't think they've called last call in the last 25 years that I can remember. :tequila
